SMS Terms & Conditions

I. Opting into General RV Text Messages

By “opting in” to receive General RV Text messages, you accept these General RV SMS Terms and General RV’s Privacy Policy. Additionally, you also:

• Authorize General RV or its agents to use autodialer or non-autodialer technology to send you promotional and/or informational text messages to the cell phone number associated with your opt-in (i.e., the number listed on the opt-in form or instructions, or, if none, the number from which you send the opt-in, or, if none, the number on file for the account associated with your opt-in).
• Understand that you are not required to receive General RV promotional text messages as a condition of using or purchasing services or products made available by General RV.
• Confirm that you are the subscriber to the relevant phone number or that you are the customary user of that number on a family or business plan and that you are authorized to top in using that number.
• Consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent to the use of the electronic record by contacting us via our support page here optout@generalrv.com . To view and retain a copy of this disclosure or any information regarding your enrollment in this program, you will need:
• A device (such as a computer or mobile phone) with a web browser and internet access; and
• Either a printer or storage space on such device.

“Opting in,” “Opt in,” and “Opt-In” refer to requesting, joining, agreeing to, enrolling in, signing up for, acknowledging, or otherwise taking action to indicate your agreement to receive one or more text messages.

II. Opting out of General RV Text Messages

If you no longer wish to receive General RV text messages, you may reply with STOP to any text message from General RV. After unsubscribing, we may send you information of your opt-out via text messages. If you have revoked consent and want to re-enroll in our text message program, you can resume your enrollment by signing up via the sign-up module on generalrv.com.

III. About SMS Texts

• Costs of Signing up for General RV Texts. General RV does not charge you for its text message program. However, message and data rates may apply. Depending on your plan with your wireless or other applicable provider, you may be charged by your carrier or other applicable provider.
• Frequency of Text Messages. We may send you an initial message confirming that we have received your opt-in, or we may send you informational messages after you have provided your contact information to us. After that, the specific amount of text messages may vary depending on how you use our services and whether you take steps to generate additional text messages from us (e.g., sending a HELP request).
• Participating Carriers. Content is available on all US carriers, but carrier participation could change. As of 6/15/2023, our text messages can be sent through all US carriers. The content is not compatible with all mobile device models. The list of participating carriers may be changed at General RV’s sole discretion without prior notice. General RV will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any text messages or changes to the participating carriers as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier with active participation at that time. The mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Eligibility. By signing up to receive General RV text messages, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older and understand the obligations and agree to the terms set forth in these General RV SMS Terms, which forms a binding agreement between you and us. You further represent that you are the subscribed of the cellular service at the mobile number provided. If you change or deactivate the mobile number you enrolled in General RV Texts, you agree you will promptly notify General RV via our support page here optout@generalrv.com to have your number removed.

IV. Modifications of these General RV SMS Terms

We reserve the right to modify these General RV SMS Terms, or any part thereof, or add or remove terms at any time, and such modifications, additions or deletions will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued enrollment in General RV Texts shall be deemed to constitute acceptance by you of such modifications, additions, or deletions.

V. Forum Selection and Choice of Law Provisions

Please read this “Forum Selection and Choice of Law” Provisions carefully, as it may significantly affect your legal rights.

Should any dispute arise between you and General RV, those disputes shall be governed by the substantive laws of the state of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law rules. In addition, the parties agree that courts having jurisdiction over Oakland County, Michigan, have exclusive jurisdiction for deciding any dispute between them about this document or anything having to do with General RV’s SMS Text Messages or their content. This means that if you file a claim against General RV regarding anything to do with this document or General RV’s SMS Text Messages and/or their content, Michigan law will control that claim and it must be filed in Michigan.
