About Freight and Prep Fees

We want you to understand exactly what these fees cover:

  • Freight Fee: Helps reimburse General RV for costs associated with transporting the RV to the dealership location.
  • Preparation Fee: Covers services completed before delivery, including RV cleaning, propane filling, safety and systems testing, and a delivery walkthrough and training session.

These fees are negotiable and not mandatory, where applicable and permitted by law. All associated fees will be disclosed and agreed to in writing before the services are performed, including any additional freight or preparation services requested.

Pricing Exclusions by State

Arizona: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, up to $6,000 freight charge, dealer preparation fee up to $1,595 on towable units and $2,495 on motorized units, and $499 document processing fee are excluded from quoted price.

Colorado: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, registration fees, emissions testing charge, and government fees, and $499 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Florida: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, and government fees, and $599 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Illinois: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, registration fees, government fees, and $377.63 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Michigan: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, registration fees, government fees, freight, and $280 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

North Carolina: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, dealer preparation fee, and $599 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Ohio: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, and $398 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Pennsylvania: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, and $490 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Utah: Sales tax or other taxes, tag, license, title, registration fees, government fees, and $499 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.

Virginia: Additional freight charges apply; however, no preparation fee will be charged in Virginia. Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, and $599 document processing fee are not included in quoted price.
