Nicola Wilson of Kalamazoo is the first winner to receive a weekend getaway courtesy of General RV and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The giveaway was made possible through McDonald’s “Discover Michigan Together RV Tour” Wilson is a military wife who stays at home with five children. Her husband, Scott, is a Captain in the United States Air Force and is going through pilot training which will end in December. The giveaway couldn’t have happened to a more quality family. The prize includes a weekend trip in an RV to one of four Michigan parks; Interlochen, Indian Lake, North Higgins Lake, or Port Huron Hoeft.
“We are very thankful to have won this great trip…it’s going to be a wild time with all seven of us in the RV. I’m sure we’ll have a blast at whatever state park we choose,” said Wilson.
The Wilson’s won the trip by entering during a Michigan Passport to Summer event. A traveling 34′ Class A Motorhome from General RV is the flagship of the Discover Michigan Together RV Tour. The partnership between the DNR, General RV, and McDonald’s is designed to promote a healthy, and active lifestyle. The tour has visited over thirty-five public events, and state parks this summer. At each stop visitors were able to enter to win a weekend RV rental and campsite giveaway.
