Florida Caverns State Park
Located in Marianna near Tallahassee, the Florida Caverns State Park offers guided cave tours for a truly unique camping experience! Located on the campground, the cave tour offers a different experience in Florida through the gorgeous underground world. Cave tours are offered Thursday through Monday and costs $5 for 3-12 years old and $10.75 for anyone 13+ years old (as of October 2022). You will see the fascinating geological formations as you walk through the lighted cave path.
The pet-friendly state park is open 365 days a year and features thirty-two RV sites with full hookups. There are also three equestrian sites with electricity and water, as well as stables for your horse. You’ll also find a fire pit and picnic table at every site.
Within the state park, there are many trails for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians to explore. This part of Florida is full of gorgeous floodplains, sinkholes and karst topography as well. Geocaching is also very popular for those looking to explore the trails in a unique way. And you can canoe, kayak or paddle board across the park’s peaceful rivers and lakes. In addition, the park features the Blue Hole swimming area, which is a 35 feet deep swimming hole that is fed from the Chipola River.
Meteor Crater RV Park
For adventurous RVers looking for basecamp, Meteor Crater RV Park is only 20 miles west of Winslow, Arizona. Meteor Crater is a mile wide and 550 feet deep and is only five miles up the road from the park. Guided tours of the crater are available. While there, you can also explore the Barringer Space Museum, and discount tickets are available if you stay at the park.
The RV park features seventy-one pull-thru sites, as well as two dry camping spots. The RV sites have picnic tables and allow propane fires and grills for outdoor cooking. There is also cornhole, horseshoes and a basketball court. The RV park is pet friendly and has two dog runs with plenty of space to roam.
A great benefit of this RV park is that it also has a gas station on site. This is convenient if you’re planning on exploring the historic Route 66 or the city of Winslow. You can also explore the nearby petroglyphs in McHood Park or Rock Art Ranch and learn about the history of the area. And you won’t want to miss the stunning scenery that abounds; like the Painted Desert in Flagstaff.
R-Ranch In The Mountains
If you’re looking for a relaxing experience with awesome views look no further than the R-Ranch in the Mountains in Georgia. This members-only campground gives you access to over 800 acres of private property in the Chattahoochee National Forest. An awesome activity that sets this park apart from other campgrounds is horseback riding! There are guided trail rides available five days a week, as well as beginner riding classes. R-Ranch also holds their annual Mountain Top Rodeo. It’s a fun event for the whole family to enjoy.
On the grounds, you will find 170 sites for RVs, a village of A-frame cabins nestled in the woods and log cabins overlooking the horse pastures. 158 of those campsites offer full hookups and 12 that have water and electricity. You can also kayak or canoe in one of the two lakes on the campground. Fishing is allowed on the ranch and the Chestatee River is only a few miles away, for amazing fishing opportunities. There is a recreational lodge on the property with a pool or enjoy the movie room, game room and more inside. There is also volleyball, horseshoes and a putt-putt golf course. Cool off in the pool that is in the lodge.
Near the ranch, you can explore the hundreds of thousands of hiking trails with gorgeous scenery. There is also the Whissenhunt OHV trails near the ranch for all your off-road toys. If you love exploring Georgia, the membership for R-Ranch is worth it for this slice of paradise in the mountains.
Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort
For a luxurious Las Vegas getaway, you have to stay at the Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort. This Class A motorhome resort is just minutes away from the Las Vegas strip. You can rent a site or buy property, but a unique amenity is that most of the lots feature a built-in BBQ area, kitchen or other buildouts for outdoor entertaining.
The resort features a two-story clubhouse with swimming pools and whirlpools to relax. There are five pools and seven whirlpools throughout the resort, for convenience as well. There is a tennis court, pickleball courts and mini golf at the clubhouse for fun activities when you’re not exploring Las Vegas. The clubhouse also regularly holds holiday events and community activities, like game nights.
Carolina Pines RV Resort
An awesome getaway in South Carolina is the Carolina Pines RV Resort in Conway. With over five hundred pull-thru and back-in sites, these pet-friendly sites have full hookups, Wi-Fi and fire rings. This RV resort is unique because it features an amazing waterpark for kids to play on hot summer days. Enjoy the waterslides, family pool, lazy river, as well as food and drink service in the cabanas.

If boondocking is something you want to try in New Mexico, you have to go to Hotel Luna Mystica in Taos. Don’t let the name confuse you. This campground is filled with vintage RVs and primitive spaces for your own RV. You will be surrounded by these stunningly unique, vintage travel trailers and sleeping under the clear Mesa sky. This pet-friendly location offers showers, fire pits and cool photo opportunities with the vintage travel trailers.
You are within walking distance from a brewery and only a short drive to many activities New Mexico has to offer. From nearby scenic trails hiking and biking to exploring historic architecture and museums, there is something for everyone. There are also hot springs only three miles away from Hotel Luna Mystica. Plus horseback riding, rafting and mountain climbing; all nearby.
Lazy Llama Campground
There are many amazing things to explore in eastern Tennessee and the Lazy Llama Campground is no exception. This campground is open year-round and home to wonderful llamas that you can interact with throughout your stay! Lazy Llama offers full hookups in their pull-thru and back-in sites. Most of the campsites are also big rig friendly to accommodate any size RV.
On the campground, you can hike the trails or go on a storytelling hike with llamas. There are special events throughout the year, including live music, art classes and more. Another unique feature of the Lazy Llama is that there is an organic garden on-site where you can pick fresh vegetables.
An awesome benefit of this unique campground is that you are less than an hour away from the NASCAR Bristol Motor Speedway. There are also many golf courses, whitewater rafting tours and biking trails nearby for fun activities outside of the campground. And you are only a short drive to many of the great things Eastern Tennessee has to offer, like Gatlinburg, The Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest.
The Virginian RV Park
The Virginian Lodge and RV Park in Jackson, Wyoming is a unique place to stay. When staying here, you get all the features the lodge has to offer, including a swimming pool, hot tub and communal fire pits. The best part of the Virginian Lodge and RV park (besides the gorgeous views) is the three restaurants located on the property, as well as an on-site liquor store. There are also guided tours and gear rental on-site for action-packed activities that will make you fall in love with Wyoming.
