The Keystone Outback Ultra-Lite 291UBH is an impressive lightweight travel trailer. This RV was created to be easy to tow. But it doesn’t skimp on the high-end features, storage or décor and weighs just 6,950 pounds (dry). This lightweight travel trailer’s best feature might be its clever floorplan though.
An impressive and inviting layout
Two things about the open layout will likely catch your eye right away: The private bunkhouse and the walk-through bathroom.
The Keystone Outback Ultra Lite 291UBH can sleep up to eight individuals, including four on double-over-double bunk beds. About 30 percent of the floorplan space is dedicated to the bunk sleeping area in most bunkhouse RVs. In the Outback 291UBH, the bunkhouse only takes up 10 percent.
This means you won’t lose lots of living space to a sleeping area that isn’t being utilized if you travel alone. Additionally, pocket doors allow you to close off the area or even use it for storage. On trips when you invite friends or your grandchildren, you have the extra sleeping space you need.

Because of the bunkhouse design, there is a walk-through bathroom that leads to the master bedroom. It spans the width of the travel trailer so you won’t feel cramped. The bathroom includes a 30” x 40” shower with sliding glass doors and a porcelain foot-flush toilet. There is a power roof vent for ventilation and skylight over the tub.
The bathroom is separated from the kitchen and dining area by a farmhouse-style sliding barn door. This space-saving design adds an extra measure of privacy.
If you have a canine companion travelling with you, the built-in pet kennel is a great space for a puppy to get some sleep. You can rest easy throughout the night knowing that he isn’t scratching or biting items that he shouldn’t be. The pet kennel is conveniently tucked away in the master bedroom. There’s more storage under the queen-sized deluxe innerspring mattress. Other noteworthy features in the bedroom include a wardrobe on each side of the bed as well as a convenient laundry chute.

In many lightweight travel trailers, the TV is tucked in a corner instead of directly in front of the seating. This means you have to turn your neck to the side to watch a movie or catch a game. This isn’t the case with the Outback. The television is mounted in front of two leather, theatre-style chairs with footrests for optimal viewing.
When it’s time to eat, you’ll have the kitchen equipment you need to make your favorite meals. It comes equipped with a three-burner range with oven and microwave. There’s also an 8 cubic foot refrigerator and a deep sink with pull-out sprayer.
If you prefer cooking outdoors, step right up to the outdoor kitchenette. It includes a two-burner cooktop and compact refrigerator that pulls out from the side. A power awning runs almost the length of the trailer providing a comfortable area for al fresco dining, too. The exterior speakers will provide music for your evenings.
