We are proud to announce a partnership with a brand new RV Company! Grand Design RV is just about 3 months old and will launch their first product towards the end of January. The business model for Grand Design will be to create products for six segments of the RV marketplace. The first product, which as noted above is set to launch towards the end of January, will be the Solitude 369RL Fifth Wheel.
The focus of the company is to keep it relatively small and customer focused. Each of the six segments will have just one product name under the Grand Design RV brand. It will be simple, and efficient, yet geared towards what customers desire. The company also hopes to launch a mid-sized travel trailer and a second fifth wheel towards the end of 2013, with an additional toy hauler being a possibility.
The new fifth wheel will have a 101 inch wide body, a 7,000 pound capacity axle, 40 inch slideouts, and THREE 20 pound LP tanks that can be changed out for full ones at gas stations. The company is being launched by Don Clark and Bill and Ron Fenech who are RV industry veterans. They were the original founders of Keystone RV, a company that reached the top of the industry very quickly.
